Cooper Corporation was the first company to manufacture diesel engines in India. Cooper Corporation has a technical tie-up with RICARDO, UK, for the design and manufacturing. There are still other sources of copper in a diesel engine, including the governor, the oil pump and the service meter drive gear. Cooper 4-stroke, liquid-cooled diesel engine is modelled on CRDi technology and manufactured in technical collaboration with RICARDO.
